It’s beginning to feel more like Fall these days. While the weather has been warm and nice the angle of the sun definitely speaks to a change in the season. And now we are starting to see the leaves of our maple tree changing colors.
For the photo today I plucked a few leaves at different stages of change and placed them on top of my softbox which attaches to the head of the flash. The softbox is basically a light diffuser so the light isn’t too harsh. I wanted to create a nice white background but more importantly I wanted to have the leaves back lit and almost glowing in appearance.
With the leaves on top of the softbox I shot from directly above them. I love how it turned out.
