Every Monday I post a photo that is meant to inspire you, motivate you, cause you to pause and ponder, remind you of your dreams and hopefully entice you to act on whatever your goals may be. This Monday, July 16th I bring you one from a 2009 trip to 100 foot tall Sahalie Falls. Sahalie Falls is located 68 miles east of Eugene along the McKenzie Highway (Hwy 126).
While I did capture the obligatory shot of the falls I also spent a lot of time shooting the water flowing below the falls. In parts of the stream the cold stream water held these beautiful and captivating shades of blue. It was like some magical elixir washing down the rocky bed enticing one to jump into the icy reviving water. I didn’t though because it was really running strong that day.
For this shot I used a long shutter speed (1.6 seconds) to blur the water and create this almost milky look. Of course my two boys loved hiking along the river and finding lots of interesting things like banana slugs.

Monday is just another day in your life so make the most of it. Happy Monday!
