Been so busy lately I’ve been getting a little behind posting Project 365 here. So to make up for it I’m posting 4 new images here in this post. So here we go.
Day 204 was a Crenshaw Melon. We picked this up at the Lively Organic Farm off River Road on River Loop 2. It was the last weekend of their season so we really stocked up on melons and other goodies as they grow the best melons there as far as my taste buds are concerned. Tom Lively is a a melon master. These crenshaw melons are super sweet like honey and practically melt in your mouth. I kind of think that they look like a green coconut. Their skin is actually quite hard.
On Sunday night I made s’mores with the kids. We got some graham crackers and piled on mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Then we carefully sandwiched it all with a graham cracker on top and popped them in the oven for a few minutes. They came out hot and with marshmallow and chocolate oozing out everywhere. It was a messy and sticky delicious treat for the boys (and me).
Yesterday I was helping my nephew with his homework. I’m pretty certain he’s going to ace the assignment now. The assignment was to write about what you would do if you had a magic ring tht made you invisible when you put it on. So what would you do with that ring? Would you do good or would you be mischevious?
And finally tonight we cut open one of our fancy yellow watermelons. Yes, yellow. These things are the best watermelons in the world and another item we picked up at the Lively Organic Farm. Good stuff here! If anyone ever offers you a yellow watermelon grab it. They are absolutely the best.
