Today I decided to take a portrait of my wife. For this photo I setup a Canon 580EXII in a shoot through umbrella directly behind her and set on full power. To camera left I had a Canon 430EXII with a Lumiquest Softbox III attached. This was positioned about 2 feet away and set on 1/4 power. Both were triggered with Cactus V4’s.
I have to admit that I am enjoying my Project 365. I find that as I go about my day I am framing things I see in my mind, planning photos that haven’t happened yet. I try to always have a camera with me at all times, although as luck would have it I didn’t have one with me yesterday and saw a situation I wanted to photograph. I was walking past a side street and as I looked down toward the end through a tunnel of parked cars I saw a delivery truck at then end with a big “Bud Light” written on it. I instantly thought “There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s actually a Bud Light”. Let that be a lesson to always have a camera with you. This is precisely why I bought the Canon S90 so I could carry it with me everywhere.
I wonder what I will see tomorrow? I know I will have my camera with me.
