Recently I started taking organic flaxseed oil as a healthy supplement. I’ve also coupled this with fish oil which I understand is even better than flaxseed oil for providing a healthy 4:1 ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 EFA’s (Essential Fatty Acids). Apparently studies show that it is good for cardiovascular health. The only issue I have is that these softgels are huge and really hard to get down.
For this shot I used a Canon 5DII and a single Canon 580EXII on 1/64th power and a white paper snoot to focus the light. The background is the black side of a 5-1 reflector and the surface is actually the back of one of my speaker boxes. I hand held the flash and snoot directly above the softgels and played around a bit with different levels of light and positions. To get the narrow DOF I used a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 shooting at f/6.3
