Tonight, or rather 2AM Sunday morning, we set our clocks 1 hour forward to what is called Daylight Savings Time. We end up with less daylight in the morning but more daylight in the evening. Controversy still exists as to whether DST actually saves energy overall considering most of us are plugged in 24/7 these days.
Personally I am indifferent to DST. It’s nice having the extra daylight in the evening to be able to spend time outdoors with the family but it doesn’t really change anything for us. Life will continue just as it always has.
To create this shot I used a long shutter speed of 30 seconds. While the shutter was open I used a laser pointer to create the arrow over the clock. I then used a black light to illuminate the clock. The aperture used was f/8.0.
