Day 25 is a light and fluffy photo of Pandan cake my wife made for St. Patrick’s day. The green color comes from the pandan leaf which is from the screwpine tree, a tropical plant commonly referred to as Pandan. It is commonly used in Southeast Asian cooking. In Indonesian it is called pandan wangi.
The green decoration on the side is white chocolate with green food coloring. The cake itself is light and fluffy just like sponge cake.
I shot this photo with a white sheet of stock paper using a Canon 5DII and a single Canon 580EXII flash with a Lumiquest Softbox III attached and 1/32 power. The flash was held directly overhead. The lens was a Tamron 24-75 f/2.8 at f/8. Looking back I would have used a smaller aperture to get more depth of field.
