Here is the second photo this week that involves a meat dish. This is a savory pork crepe. The crepe is lined with cream cheese and then filled with organic leaf lettuce and organic pork that was slow cooked for 9 hours.
We purchased all of the ingredients (with the exception of the cream cheese) from our local farmers market. The lettuce is organically grown at a friends local farm and the pork is also organic and raised locally without hormones or other additives. We buy locally every chance we get not only because it is more environmentally friendly but also because the food just tastes better. I touched on buying local and organic in this post of local organic rainbow chard.
