Later this month (if the weather and flowers cooperate) the annual Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival kicks off in Woodburn Oregon. It’s acres and acres and fields upon fields of blooming tulips of every color imaginable. It’s an incredible scene and we enjoy it every year. We generally go on a week day when it’s not as crowded, drive up from Eugene and tip-toe through the tulips. Afterwards we usually enjoy a brat and cold beverage and maybe a pretzel or two. We’re planning to head up again either later this month or early next month depending on when the tulips start blooming.
